The ASTAT503-1 (1.841188) is an outdoor thermostat that has an electric rating of 120/240V, 5 full-load amps, and 20-lock rotor amps.
The outdoor thermostat is suitable for use with heat pump applications. The unit is used to turn off the heat pump based on the user's chosen setpoint and only calls for heat when the outdoor ambient temperature drops below the setpoint.
The ASTAT503-1 is easy to install by using the ASTATBOX502-1 outdoor mounting box or inside the compartment of the unit compressor if applicable. It can also be partnered with AFOSL500-1 fossil fuel kit to switch from heat pump to fossil fuel furnace operation.
