The Bradford White 224-47776-05 is an anode rod made of magnesium. This device has a 38.13" length x 0.84" diameter and a 3/4" NPT x 2” nipple connection.
The anode rod is a hot water outlet that helps protect the internal walls of a water heater from corrosion by drawing contaminants out of the water supply.
The 224-47776-05 is a direct replacement for 224-32731-81. Suitable for use with Bradford White MI403SF (BN/CX/SX) and MI50LF (BN/CX/SX) water heaters.
The 224-32731-81 Anode Rod was discontinued by Bradford White. The original came with a 2" NPT nipple and was 34" long.
The 224-47776-05 Magnesium Anode Rod may work as a suitable replacement however it is 38" long. We are not able to guarantee it will work in your application without the model number of your hot water tank.
You must be sure that it will work with your hot water tank. To be safe, we always suggest contacting a local licensed technician that is familiar with your equipment and application.
