Taco Air Scoop 1.5"

Taco's 433-5 Air Scoop is manufactured with internal baffles designed to reduce the velocity of water in a system to allow air to be removed quickly and efficiently. Specifically designed to provide a noiseless, air-free hydronic heating, cooling or combination system, by efficiently separating out the air from the water in any of these systems, it can be used in connection with a plain steel or diaphragm expansion tank.

As the air and water enter the Air Scoop, the lighter air moves along the top potion of a horiztonal pipe, their velocity decreases allowing air bubbles to be scooped up by the baffle either immediately vented through a Hy-Vent or into a conventional plain steel expansion tank. Excess will be removed by the Hy-Vent without disturbing the operation of the system.
