Watts 0383742 is 1 inch boiler pressure relief valve is used for boiler heating applications in hot water space to protect against unnecessary pressure on all forms of boiler heating equipment in hot water space. It consists of an iron body structure with extended outlet drain connections for heating boilers with hot water room, non-metallic disc-to-metal benches, stainless steel mechanism, and test lever. It offers wide potential for discharge, avoids corrosive water conditions, avoids sticking and freezing, and prevents trapping of water and sediment in the seat. This is intended to alleviate emergency protection, not as operational control. The pressure relief is set at 45 psi (3.1 bar) with corresponding steam pressure discharge capacity up to 1,355,000 BTU/hr.
