Watts Series HAV Automatic Air Vent Valve

The HAV Hot Water Vent is designed for automatic or manual air release on baseboards, convectors, radiators, and high points in piping systems. The HAV valve utilizes moisture retaining discs within the body which vary in volume when they change from a wet to a dry condition. As the discs dry, they allow air to escape from the system and when wet, provide a positive shut-off.

This 0590712 1/8 inch automatic vent valve is used in commercial, residential, and industrial hydronic heating applications to provide automatic or manual air venting in baseboards, convectors, radiators, and high points in piping systems. It consists of a 2-piece chrome plated brass body construction, stainless steel check valve, brass disc bearing cover, copper thermostat assembly, neoprene O-ring, cellulose fiber disc, replaceable cartridge, and ABS heat-resistant handwheel. The cartridge can be easily maintained or replaced without system shutdown. This valve is ideal for use with hot water and low pressure steam systems. The maximum pressure is 125 psi (8.6 bar).
