The 37E73A series INTELLI-VENTTM control is a combination gas valve, ignition control, and thermostat for use on Power Vented water heaters. The microcomputer in the control supervises the ignition sequence and timings for the water heater, and provides diagnostic codes in case of system malfunction. The control provides direct burner ignition using the White-Rodgers’ Silicon Nitride Ignitor (the 21D64-2). The control uses the INTELLI-VENTTM technology to greatly extend the ignitor’s life.

The 37E73A-927 is not a direct replacement for the 37E73A-321. To replace the 37E73A-321, you can use the Lochinvar 100112110 Natural Gas 1/2" Gas Valve 120V 3.5" W.C.. It is a direct replacement.
